...Just so terribly underwhelmed by how unfunny Sarah Palin was on SNL just now? It's like her handlers made a point to not let her make fun of herself and take herself as seriously as possible.
I can't believe that she was able to suck the funny out of Tina Fey's impression of her.
Mark Walhberg was a LOT funnier and he was on the screen for literally 3 seconds. Just sayin'.
I am pretty sure that Kristen Wiig and Andy Samburg are the superstars of SNL. But Kristen Wiig has really stepped up her hilarious game this new season and it is totally necessary. And last night was no exception--one of the first skits of the night (after another amazingly perfect Palin impression by another SNL funny-lady Tina Fey. And I am calling it now that she gets an Emmy for guest appearance doing these Palin impressions. Holla to The Queen (Latifah), too!), was the one below. This is what happens when writers use their heads instead of awkward flavor-of-the-weak pop culture references all the time!
...but did anyone else see Duffy performing on SNL?
a few things:
1.) she looks a lot like Anna Faris (ironically--and unfortunately--the host this week)
2.) she loves the color black
3.) she loves a good belt. Like, LOVES a good belt. High-waisted cincher.
4.) she just loves a red lip. corvette, trailer-trashy bright red lip.
5.) she sounds like a mouse on helium. moreso than originally thought.
and...
6.) bitch has SERIOUS WINE TEETH ON SNL. Like, I mean I would need a few drinks before performing live in front of millions on SNL, but REALLY. Gurl, they make Orbit for a reason. You know, you also look like the Orbit gum girl, and you're British. Doesn't that mean you get that shit for free?
Oh, she also sounds tragic. And boozy. Definitely has that whole "drunk lounge singer" vibe.
